Blake was the oldest of the orphans in Hage Church, left there when he was four, beside two baby boys-Asta and Yuno. He was the big brother, the supposed protector, yet he couldn't even wield magic. He nearly lost all hope when he didn't receive a grimoire from the ceremonial tower, but after a violent encounter with young nobles who threatened the safety of his loved ones, a strange grimoire of unimaginable power emerged before him, the voices of ancient beings telling him to protect what he holds dear. Four years after that incident, he was ready to become a Magic Knight alongside his younger brothers. Compared to their dreams of becoming the Wizard King, Blake's aspirations were more down-to-earth: have fun, protect the innocent, and kick the ass of evildoers-and maybe a few more nobles along the way. If only the voices in his head didn't make things so complicated...
