Thoughts From A Soldier: Inaguration 2021

On January 6, 2021, a large demonstration turned violent and thousands of protesters stormed the US Capitol building resulting in 5 deaths, multiple injuries, and hundreds of arrests. To protect the upcoming inauguration and prevent such an event from reoccurring, the US Government called upon 26,000 National Guard soldiers to see that the transition of power remain peaceful. I was one of those soldiers.
