He never let her see anyone and barely ever took her into town, not to mention they live in an area of the forest not frequented by travelers.  So you'd imagine her surprise when a mysterious man showed up looking for him, lacking good intentions.  The world's in danger and the only one who can save it is the fabled Sage of Paridonia, problem is they haven't been seen in over 2,000 years. For if she cannot be the next Guardian, Torenth will be lost forever. Note: I wrote this ten years ago when I was 14 so it is rather short! Only 24,000 words.

The prince and girl fell in love, but couldn't be together, for the nobleman's daughter grew jealous when she found out, and ordered them to be killed. This story was called "The Lover's Curse." As it passed down, generation through generation, it became known as only a legend, a myth.
