"I love you, but..", the first three words come together to form the elixir of love only for it to be diminished by another word. Three words that make you feel like you're at the top of the wall only to pushed down by a but that makes you feel worthless without the other person having no fucking idea. A clear rejection is better than a fake promise, but it still hurts. It still hurts because it mattered. It still breaks you. Makes you feel as if a thousand knives were being stabbed into your heart eventhough you may or may not have seen it coming. Love just happens. It's not a conscious act. You can't control nor chose with whom you fall in love with or how hard you fall for them. And just like that, neither do you have any say in the fact wheter they love you or not. It's upto them. They can make. Either fall in love with you or just leave. One can bring happiness on your face but with no guarantee of it being a happily ever after but the second choice may bring you sadness and heartbreak for days and months, often years to come but atleast you have a guarantee for a happy future hopefully. Life is no fairy tale. And happily-ever-afters are rare. It's bad enough when you fall for that person, but badder when they don't feel like that and just walk away. They say butterflies erupt when they too feel the same, but why doesn't anyone speak about the feelings of the butterflies dying when they don't give a damn about you? They think that a simple, unsincere, fake sorry but repair it all but to qoute the queen Taylor Swift herself, "bandaids don't fix bullet holes."
