Appearances. Reputation. Idealism. Perfection. These words have been the foundation of Nikolai "Kole" Wilde's life before he fully understood what they meant. Even if Kole has straight As, is captain of the baseball team, never drinks, and always listens to his parents' requests, there have always been higher expectations to live up to, a higher level for him to aim for. At least according to Kole's parents. After a devastating loss, though, Kole's perfectly crafted facade begins to fall apart alongside his family.
Ivy Morganson has lived in her twin brother's shadow for the majority of her life. Noah has always been the golden twin, an athletic boy with perfect grades who's loved by everyone he meets. Ivy's always been perfectly content to live on the sidelines, after all, being the center of all that attention seems a bigger cause of stress than its worth. However, Ivy does wish that everyone would stop comparing her to Noah. Just because they're twins, doesn't mean Ivy has to be like him in any shape or form. Not to mention Ivy's six other siblings.
To Ivy, Kole Wilde's always just been one of her brother's friends. Just another spoiled rich brat at their renowned private school. Until Ivy is somehow roped into tutoring the supposedly perfect Kole in place of her brother and begins to realize that under his mask of the perfect boy, there are several other sides of Kole that he has kept hidden inside.
Both have secrets and walls built up high, but as they unwittingly grow closer to one another, will they be able to open up? And when they discover they each have played a larger role in each other's lives than they originally thought, will they move on, or will their newfound friendship (and maybe something more) fall apart?
