Bailey Smith, a straight-A student, doesn't have time for fun. Until she takes a summer internship at Bay Turf Resort, where she meets bad boy Jayden Lemmy. He's not the type of person so she can bring home to her father, so she knows she should stay away from him, but his beguiling grin and risky ways are too alluring.

Despite his lack of formal education, Jayden Lemmy sees Bailey as someone who is ambitious, motivated, and dedicated, much as he was before the accident that changed his life forever. He pledges to stay away from her, but when a co-worker forces him into a bet he can't reject, he's forced to face his demons.
