What truly defines a "Panic Room"? Is it a room in which you go inside to panic? Or is it a room to hide in during the panic? Is it there to make you loose your mind, to forget your sense of self?
Lumine never understood that term, but it always had a negative feeling in her head. It left a sour after taste in her mouth everytime she mentioned it, and she never knew why.
Aether, on the other hand, enjoyed the word. It just made him feel safe being in one or just mentioning one. It left a nice, citrus after taste when he mentioned it, and he enjoyed it too much to question it.
And on one, fateful, historic day, in a panic room, the world changed, they changed, and nothing would be the same ever again. After all, a panic room is where all your darkest fears come for you.
"We're not exactly friends..." Is what Kaveh would say if you were to ask him how his relationship was with Alhaitham. Nobody knew that they, in fact, were living under the same roof despite claiming to not be friends. Nobody knew that they shared intimate moments behind closed doors. Kaveh assumed debt was the only thing forcing him to live with his stubborn roommate, but he would soon come to realise it was the feelings he had begun developing for him.
P.S - I RE-READ THIS STORY. I WROTE IT A YEAR AGO AND I ONLY NOW REALISED ALL THE MISCHARACTERISATION AND MISTAKES. SORRY FOR THAT IN ADVANCE OMG
