It was just pure coincidence that Mikey Jay dropped into his dream world and happened to be the key factor in Sayer's plan of getting Jessie ready to become the dream-jumper she is meant to be.

It is simply, in my opinion, the best way to enjoy the series. Since I understand that some portions of the first two books are not very different from canon and thus, can seen boring.
