I thought it was the end. Blood ran down my face, as the smell of human flesh plagued my nostrils. As I swallowed something struck me in the back of the head. I fell to the blood covered floor as everything went dark. I soon heard shots of a pistol. And then sirens but I couldn't move, no matter how hard I tried. I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless.
