Set in 1955, hotel housekeeper Corinne Vineyard has been with The Rose Hotel since she was eleven years old. Taken in by The Proprietor after the death of her parents, Corinne is taught the hotel morals and helps to maintain the reputation of the hotel, which is providing a guest experience so good, no one wants to leave. When Mona, a young and lively guest, enters the hotel with a spirit that entrances all and a secretive investigation, Corinne realizes she must keep a close eye on her before she digs up something The Proprietor doesn't want unveiled. As Mona becomes a target of The Proprietor, Corinne questions if what the hotel taught is right and must decide what matters to her more: Protecting Mona, who she is secretly falling in love with, or The Rose Hotel.
