❝The girls here are bred for beauty, their talents are honed to remarkable, unmatched skill, and their minds are molded into the highest standards of modern intelligence.❞ ❝That is why I come visit you.❞ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucette Deniaud has lived in the Home of Gwendoline Salomé since birth. She has always been told to be a good girl, to study hard, to keep her room clean, and to never speak unless spoken to, and unlike all the other strange, orphan girls like her, Lucette took this as a way of life. None of the girls have ever been outside the walls of the Home. Through the windows and past the gates, constant fog and endless rows of uniform evergreen trees hide the world they haven't even dreamed of. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright 2014 by Sophia Gray; All Rights Reserved. | cover by veracity | book jacket by leichter

Teagan Monicroff comes from a long line of Monicroff Mages, hero's, and special beings. The Monicroff blood basically entitles her to being perfect and practically famous. Finally, it's time for her to attend Ridgemoor Academy, just like her father and his father and his fathers', fathers', father before her. Each generation of Monicroffs' bested every year they attended, from being top student to saving a magical realm back in the War of Magicals and Naturals some hundred years ago. Now, it's her turn to live up to that legacy, her turn - to be the best, her turn - to leave a mark with her name on it. Her turn to make the Monicroff name proud, and her father. Until she gets sent to the wrong house. All Monicroff's belonged in the Herelds House, not the Seekers . . . She's sent to the Seekers and, and it feels like hell's waiting to swallow her up. To make matters worse, she meets this lonely looking boy in the Corner of the courtyard and finds he's a Seeker too . . . Only he's not as nice and demure as she thought he was. Before long, Teagan must deal with the trials of being a fourteen year old first year Mage with a legacy for a name in the wrong house. This comes with bullying, insecurities, fears of rejection, failing classes, and basically doing everything wrong and butchering the Monicroff name. Just when she thinks it can't get worse. . . She's accused of stealing a magic amulet which could unleash a monster on the world and possible start another war between the Naturals and the Magicals. Also her Father isn't speaking to her. So there's that too. COVER BY @-designdistrict She is worth everything and more!
