Alec grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him down next to him. It was like he was embarrassed to meet his eyes, because he instead pressed his face into Mark's chest. For a moment, Mark was worried that Alec would hear his pounding heart with his head pressed into his chest, but then he realized he didn't really care. Before the other boy could fall back asleep, he asked a question. "Alec, why did you pretend to be drunk?" He knew that in asking this, he was admitting to the other boy that he cared. Alec's head lifted and he looked up at him with wide eyes "You know why." Their gazes locked, and Mark didn't dare blink. He thought back to Adam's words from earlier. Take the time to understand. Before you read the description of my book, I want to give a few quick disclaimers. The first one is that most of the chapters aren't very long, so the 60 chapters isn't as intimidating to read as it may seem. Second, my story does include the following things that some people may be uncomfortable reading. Cursing/Swearing. Violence, Sex Jokes, Homophobia, And child abuse. Specifically, Name calling, a few things thrown at the child, and scenes with violance against teens)I would give examples directly from the book that would make more sense, but I don't want to give any spoilers for future. I also wanted to say that there isn't anything like sex scenes or suicide, but this isn't for kids either. I won't be using the mature rating because it is not directly made for adults, or young kids. Again, it all depends on what you are aloud to read, or what you are comfortable with reading.
