𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞

Mae got captured with one of the palace guards and questioned her if she knew where the princess is, when the king asked Kaz to read her mind, he couldn't since her amulet was blocking he's powers (he doesn't know yet that she has the amulet) as the king asked him again, he requested the king to imprison Mae in which the king agreed.

After a week of Mae's imprisonment Kaz requested the king to release her, the king agreed but for one condition, he and Mae need to find the princess before he steps down as king making Kaz surprised, but he agreed and went down to see Mae, as he told Mae the good news, she agreed to the condition to help him find the princess.

As the journey starts both of them goes through a wicked ride as they find the princess, while the king starts to realize the true colors of his wife.

(I changed the story description because an idea has suddenly sparked through my head.)
