Five years ago, Alex and Mae's village was raided by The Capital's guards and taken prisoner in their arcology. Humans run the world. Werewolves are their slaves. On their twenty first birthday, the birthday every werewolf dreads, Alex and Mae escape with the hope of finding a rumoured cure for lycanthropy. If they get it they'll no longer live a life of fear but turned into a human like the people hunting them.
