The kingdoms Sweden and England have long been at an uncertain truce, tracking back all the way to the 19th century when the last war between the countries was fought. Their alliance is weak and when the English queen's sister is murdered by Swedes, Sweden quickly comes to an arrangement to avoid war. They send the king's youngest child, prince Alvar, to England's court to smooth things over with the enemy country and befriend the royal house. Few of the Queen's family welcome prince Alvar with open arms, still mad about the murder of the queen's sister. The queen's son prince Elijah is especially harsh against the new arrival at court and the two princes quickly begin to despise one another, but soon they learn that they aren't so different after all.

This take place in a modern kind of alternative universe where Sweden and England despise one another and have been at war for centuries because they both want/wanted the same land, aka Denmark. This is a enemies to lovers story with lots of smut and romance. No idea where this story is going but it isn't my first so I think I can handle it.
