Katsuki is confronted with his past, something he severely regrets. He drove his ex-best friend to suicide and all his other friends left him. He doubts his place in UA, yet is determined to be the best he can be, to avenge Izuku, but what if Izuku isn't really dead? What if he faked it and turned to villainy? That seems way too far fetched!

The Shadows That Haunt Us

HIATUS What if Izuku Midoryia never met All Might, Never gained One For All, Never made it into UA, Lost hope to become a hero, even worse (in his opinion) lost all contact with his childhood tormentor/Crush 'Katsuki Bakugou'? What if Inko died, And aizawa found Izuku and took him in? Izuku grew up being bullied for wanting to be a hero, Why? Well because he's quirkless, which means he has no power at all and that makes the strong believe it's fun to bully him. Finally it's the end of Middle school Izuku is no longer left out and makes friends... Not the right ones though. He decided not to apply to his childhood dream school 'UA', so when his mother 'Inko Midoryia' told him they were moving to a town a little further away he was fine with it. At his new school believe it or not he was one of the strongest kids there, it was a school for only quirkless kids of course. He started working out and got a lot stronger, he would sometimes sneak out with his friends and workout out with them. As said before his friends wasn't the nice bubbly kids you think he would have, in fact their not even close. Izuku changed from middle school and started drinking and smoking, he also tended to get in fights with random people for looking at him wrong. Clearly different from when he was growing up. His body was never recovered but the bridge he jumped from was high and the river deep enough that police figured it had been washed away in the time it took for anyone to realize he was missing. That's what Katsuki had been told. "What was the point of talking if you weren't listening all these years?" Katsuki Bakugo, number two pro hero, was pronounced dead. He'd been missing for a little over a year when it was official, but Izuku couldn't bring himself to terms with it. Not completely, at least. Through the help of his friends and comrades, he'd finally managed to somewhat grow out of a shell of despair. He had to. For the sake of those whom Katsuki left behind, as well as the rest of humanity. All of these things considered, Izuku's 'new' life came to an abrupt halt, when he was informed of something concerning Katsuki and the other Pros and civilians who went missing... One day he gets a message for a 8 year reunion from his classmates. He's so excited to see every single one of them, hoping to get rid of the emptiness. Athough one person, he's hesitant about seeing: Kacchan, but he still replies with a positive answer, not knowing that night would change his life forever.
