BOOK 3 IN THE MAFIA series ///// I moved around him towards the door but he caught my wrist. "Let me go! Please" I sobbed. "No, you're not going anywhere" he said grabbing my jaw. I sobbed louder. As he let go I just dropped to the ground crying. He looked at me, let out a frustrated scream and hit the wall multiple times. "STOP IT!" I screamed. He stopped and looked down at me. He crouched down infront of me. "Please stop crying, I'm sorry I didn't mean to baby." He said tucking my hair behind my ear.

D.A.R.K.E.R Darren. Aaron. Romero. Kieran. Eli. And Rafael. Six friends--six underground rulers. They'll lead you down in darkness where your soul will never escape. He taught me how to fight. To stand up for myself. And that's exactly what I planned to do. I moved out after my mom died. I was sixteen, but my step-dad Romero, said I could come back whenever I wanted. So when the bills piled up and college was just around the corner, I moved back in at eighteen. It was the only way I'd be able to afford an education, and though he wasn't my real dad, I knew Romero would take care of me. But when I stumble into his private den to ask for money, I inadvertently interrupt him and his handsome, wealthy friends playing poker. Too late to leave, I ask for the money I need to buy a new car. That's when his friends start to bid on me. On my virginity. But they're spouting numbers that I can't even picture having a dollar sign in front of. They're all dangerous--but not even I know just how dangerous until it's too late. Even though Romero tries to stop me, I decide to consider what it would mean to give up my body for money. Except the way he looks at me, I can't help but think he's the one that wants to take what I'm offering.
