After a worldwide war, the planet falls into an intense nuclear winter, where the few survivors are forced to create habitable sanctuaries to save the human race. The survivors attempt to save people from the frozen wasteland by thawing them from what is called chryocoma. When Amelia wakes from her coma she has little recollection of her past life. Her only memories are of her childhood friend who happens to be a respected officer in the sanctuary they call home. She and her newfound friends must try to use their ever increasing memories to uncover the dark secrets hidden from a mass majority of the citizens that could potentially wipe out humanity forever.

He grabbed my arm at the last second and pulled me back, pressing my body tightly against his. "You like living on the edge, don't you?" Though his lips were pretty, it was the feel of them that sent my mind into a sensual state of intoxication. His lips gently pressed against mine made my legs shake. His hands held me tight by the waist and mine was lost in his hair. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into one moment. The hint of a promise.
