Abel walked over to his couch and took a seat next to me. I looked everywhere but at his face. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach, and my left leg shook uncontrollably.
"Why are you so nervous around me?" he asked, chuckling as if amused.
I didn't say anything, wiping my sweaty palms on my jeans.
"You could keep ignoring me if you want to... but I'm not going anywhere until you say something," he said.
I looked back at him, his intense gaze boring into me. Those red eyes were definitely captivating. I wished I'd smoked a blunt before coming to this party.
I'd been itching to ask him about what happened at the studio. I knew I was nervous, but I had to know.
"Why did you kiss me at the studio like that?" I asked, crossing my arms and demanding a direct answer.
He was taken aback by my question but said nothing, lost in thought. I looked down at his beard and dreads, realizing he was actually quite cute up close-wait, I need to stop.
"I don't know," he mumbled, scratching his head.
