You're the yin to my yang," Wilbur said with a low voice as he placed a hand on Quackity's shoulder. Quackity pulled on the straps of Wilbur's apron, "We are not one in the same Wilbur. "Wilbur," his voice was quiet as he looked at the floor. "Wilbur stop saying shit like that. We both know why I'm here." or, Wilbur and Quackity don't like each other- at all. Heck, they're running against each other in burger businesses that do surprisingly well. But if that's true, why does Quackity keep willingly spending his evenings with Wilbur? Why does Wilbur's mind tend to drift off towards Quackity more and more? Why are they both leaning into each other's space when they're supposed to be at work? Neither of them know. Nor did they know where things would go after one single kiss, they only saw the tip of the ice berg of their strong pull towards each other. If that's what one were to call it. You Were Never Meant to be a Hero (Quackbur Superhero AU)
Wilbur was tired of being a hero. He liked to believe that he was a good hero, but being a good hero wasn't enough. It was never enough. Always compared to his twin brother, the golden child of the Minecraft Hero Family. Wilbur lived in Techno's shadow. He hated it so much and he wasn't sure how much more he could take. He wanted to be seen for who he was. He was Wilbur goddamn Minecraft, and he refused to let himself be a side note in someone else's story. Villains had one right; the right to choose a nemesis. A thesis to their anti-thesis. A rival. His subordinates always questioned why he chose Magpie. He never bothered to explain. He had met the hero once, and that was all it took. The eldest of the Minecraft children was so much more than anyone realized. There was a deep running fury hidden under his mask. The hero was fast approaching his breaking point. That, is why Quackity chose him. Wilbur Minecraft was going to fall soon, and he was going to fall hard. And Quackity would be right there waiting, ready to catch his songbird when he did.
