From a young age, Wilhelm had understood that he did not have the privilege of acting out of love. He had come to terms with that a long time ago, so when he finds himself leaving the one person he ever loved behind for a Christmas break, he can't help but wonder how he ended up in this situation.
Simon had always been told to go after his passions and never back down in a fight. He always knew what he wanted and rarely took no for an answer, yet he had made exceptions for the one person who made him happy.
The possibility that they were both to blame for how they ended didn't matter to them. They both had fury and anguish in their hearts. They yearned for each other - this is the only common understanding. The real question? How will they ever get past this?
