(SAO X Male Reader)
In the year of 2022, virtual reality gaming has reached its peak in the form of the latest VR headset called the NerveGear. A device which allows the user to experience VR like never before. One that allows them to transfer their consciousness into the virtual world itself, making everything there feel all the more real by stimulating the five senses in the human brain. This, along with the massively successful launch of the VR game title known as Sword Art Online, has hyped about 10,000 lucky players who managed to obtain a copy of the game itself, you being one of these people. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was all too good to be true as you along with the other 9,999 players were now trapped inside SAO and unable to log yourselves out with the only exit being to clear all 100 floors of the game's main setting, Aincrad, and that if any of you had died in the game, your real life body would die as well. From this moment onwards, you made it your personal life's mission to set everyone free and end the virtual nightmare once and for all, but not without the help of a certain edgy black swordsman along with other players who would eventually become your very close friends.
Disclaimer: This is my first story involving an anime, so please don't be too hard on me for potentially messing up on something, okay? Sword Art Online is not owned by me in any shape or form. It is owned by Reki Kawahara, A-1 Pictures, and Aniplex USA.
