To say Keilidh Mackays life has been difficult is an understatement, meaning that she hasn't exactly always done everything within the law. Due to this she ends up being arrested on her one-year-old daughters first birthday and sentenced to 2 years at Litchfield Penitentiary for her part in an international drug-ring years after she thought she had left that life far behind her when she left her hit-man fiancé years earlier, but somehow her name is handed over to the judge, her past life manages to catch up with her and she is forced to accept the consequences of her past actions.

She thought she had hit rock bottom before, but during her sentence she realises that what she thought was bottom was nowhere as difficult as what she experienced in the place she couldn't leave until her sentence is finished.

However, it's not all bad because whilst she is in prison she reconnects with some friendly and familiar faces from all of the different points in her life who help her through everything and make sure that she gets to the end of her sentence to be with her daughter again.

(The only characters I own are Keilidh Mackay, Mhairi Mackay, James Barnes, Scarlett Gilmour, Malcolm Mackay, Ava Mackay, Michelle Mackay, Charlotte Mackay and Mhairi Young, as well as any minor characters that aren't on the show. Otherwise the rest of the characters belong to Netflix as the are from the show - Nicky, Red, Lorna etc)

(Sorry for the random beach picture. I'm shit at making covers)

Carmen is screwed up. She's been in and out of juvie all her life and seriously there's no place she'd rather be. Until she gets released from juvie unexpectedly, given a probation officer, and forced to live with a normal family and go to a normal school. Carmen doesn't even know the definition of normal. Much less family, or school. Separated from the only system she's known and has stayed constant all her life, she finds it hard to adjust to the world outside the concrete building. The structure and rules aren't the same. In juvie, rules were like opinions, people ignored them. But in the real world, supposedly it wasn't socially acceptable to steal cash, or graffiti the front of the school building. Enter the Harrisons, the family who's taking care of her. The matriarch of the family hates her criminal record. Sammy, the seven-year-old, is too clingy, too innocent, and too naive to understand anything. Then there's Jay, the guy she's forced to share a room with. A self-righteous son of a bitch, Jay doesn't understand Carmen and doesn't understand her self destructive way of thinking. Though he's not bothered by her, he's fascinated with her. The family represents the structure and rules that Carmen doesn't, nor wants to, understand. But as Carmin starts to push back at the structure and rules suddenly rushed into her life, it starts to change. Her whole way of living is thrown off balance, what she deems normal isn't. And through a series of events, she starts to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know if someone can pull her up from that. Carmen was given a second chance, but is it a good chance, or is it just another recipe for getting thrown right back to square one, like she always is? Because second chances don't usually get handed out. And she's about to learn what it means to get a second chance. ____

He would be the one third wheeling at the eighth grade dance, homecoming, prom, and any other event involving his friends. Whether it was going to the mall with his friend and his friend's girlfriend, or going to the movies, he was single. He was always single. At age twenty three in his junior year of college, he's accepted his fate of being single forever. He stopped having crushes four years ago when she asked him for his best friends phone number. He has never even hugged a girl he likes, and he counts kissing Amanda Baldwin in the second grade as his first kiss. That is until Odeletta Guillotin walks into his French class for the first time, three days after the class already started, late, in a black leather jacket and combat boots. When the teacher talks in French after she's settled in her seat, saying something that nobody understands, Odeletta responds in fluent French. Nathan is promptly intrigued by her. She doesn't even notice him, and he finds himself noticing everything she does, from the way she grips her pen to the way she furrows her eyebrows when she's concentrating. He finds himself wanting to talk to her, but after years and years of rejection, he can't do it. When he finally gets up the nerve to talk to her, he finds there is a lot more to the mysterious French girl than meets the eye. When Shawn Spencer ends up in the middle of nowhere, he calls Head Detective Carlton Lassiter for help. When the detective shows up, things are not quite as he expected. The usually hyperactive, happy go lucky psychic seems to be hiding a dark secret. Can Carlton get through to Shawn and help him? TW: Intense hurt/comfort story explicit content. Descriptions of abuse, sexual assault, non-consensual sex. Self-harm and suicide. Drug and alcohol descriptions. Murder and torture descriptions. The final chapter is just a shameless bit of smut. lol, if you're not into that, you can end on the chapter beforehand without missing much. If you can think of a trigger, it's probably in this story, lol. There are a few references to previous episodes, but nothing too extravagant, I don't think. I do not own psych or any of the characters. As much as I wish I did lol I know it's long, I kind of originally only wrote this for my own personal fun. But I figured it couldn't hurt to put it out there now that it's finished. I'm sure there are some inaccurate medical points lol and time frames are a tiny bit sketchy. Some of the characters do go a little out of character but I tried lol end of the day this is all imaginary, if I want carlton lassiter to be a cute little worry bear then that he shall be haha. The culprit was chosen because I never liked the character in the real show, lol. Anyways, sorry if you don't like it. But hopefully, you can just move along to a better story if so :) If you do like it, feel free to leave comments or constructive criticism.
