Despair: absence of hope Winds of despair, sometimes or the other, catch us like the winds of changing seasons. One brings us sorrow, the other flu. No matter how hard you try to protect yourself, they impact you, at least once in a lifetime. A failed career, loss of someone you loved or meaningless relationships can break anyone. But the darkest tunnel of despair has a bright ray of hope at the end. *** Winds of despair touch me as I walk the path of life, my mind teeter- totters on the conclusions I want to drive. The same old childhood friendships do not sound fun and glee, my eyes are blinded to the happiness I wish to see. The little beads of memories I treasure are no longer with me, while I rummage for them, thorns of worry pierce me. The lands are barren, the lush green heart replaced by weeds of sorrow, winds of despair carry its seeds to where the light would reach tomorrow. A green seed sprouts on the land, untouched by the wind, hails and storms are unable to wither its skin. A red flower blooms, the land turns green and calm, I find my little beads of memories clenched in my palm. The winds of despair have withdrawn, and I, now wait for the hail of dawn.
