I'd just been living in the Philippines and found something magical and beautiful there. Most of the names of people and locations originate from Filipino words in the Tagalog language. For example, Mahingga, the name of the of the island where the story starts, means "rest" in Tagalog. I wanted to the story to be funny and adventurous with a sense of wonder. March 17, 2023.. The day of reckoning that has fallen into this world, whoever created this event surely wants our existence to cease.. I dont know who they are, I don't know what they are, they're creatures that look like humans. But they tamed steel itself forging iron warships that radiates fear and destruction, war machines unlike any other. Just.. who are they? Are they even human.. I cant explain what sort of atrocities have i seen, men die gruesomely, more violent than any war i have ever witnessed. Gore flies out of the mangled corpses of the fallen, and yet despite all dead the destruction still reigns, its horrifying to say the least.. i fear that whoever awakened this sleeping giant.. has filled it.. with terrible.. terrible.. resolve.. By the gods.. make my soul rest easy from this hell on earth, as i take account for my sins.. We need the war to end, before the war will end us.. The remnants of mankind had found itself on the verge of extinction only to see hope in the form of a massive gate in the pacific ocean. One that unlike the world they see themselves in is habitable and filled with life. Now using what little weapons that they could muster and retrofit ships that could still be of use, mankind embarks towards salvation. Would mankind survive or would mankind end up dead on the other side as monsters or villains.
