Lance leaves the paladins one night due to a voice constantly whispering at the back of his mind, but he also leaves because of how he feels. It takes him to a nearby planet, Rolillon, where he meets Kolivan and joins the Blade of Marmora. He learns that the Blade protects the White Lion, the strongest and most powerful of all Lions. His lion.
The next day he goes with Krolia to another planet to retrieve the lion with two Rebel fighters. Hawk, Olia and two familiar faces. Olia seems nervous around him as if he's an enemy whereas Hawk is completely smitten with the new White Paladin.
Lance knows he's in deep shit when those Galra cruisers show up, but he's ready for the adventure of a lifetime.

I suck at descriptions. Oh well here goes. Lance is 'always the reason' why the team fails training and barely complete missions. So when Allura tries memory-melding to get the paladin to bond, it reveals a small part of Lance's painful past. From there, Lance's daily life aboard The Castle of Lions goes spiraling out of control, and he's forced to deal with the consequences, whether it was his fault or not. IDK please give it a go?
What they don't know
He nearly cried out at the impact. The Black Paladin dug his hands into the fabric of his shirt, pushing him harshly against the wall, "Where is Lance?!" Keith snarled. It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother. Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him." In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath. (They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)Complete
