INTERSTELLAR HEARTBEATS [Star Wars The Bad Batch]

Saachi Gunder loves her life as an intern on Kamino, right in the heart of the action of the Republic's cloning operation. She and her fellow interns learn the biological art of cloning under tutelege from the wise Nala Se, take part in the clone's upbringing, and prepare to recite their theses before the dean of the Republic's Satele University on Coruscaunt in the next few months.
And all at once, the war ends. And everything Saachi defined herself by begins to fall apart.
First, the Jedi are wiped out. The clones Saachi has spent three years befriending and learning from turn cold and aloof. The Republic eviscerates before her eyes. Kamino's cloning operation, and with it her doctorate, teeter on the verge of eradication.
And then Omega disappears.
In searching for the interns' honorary mascot, Saachi meets the infamous Clone Force 99 and becomes entangled in their escape from their home that is now trying to destroy them. With nothing left to lose, Saachi drags Omega aboard the Marauder in a haze of laserfire and broken hearts.
Saachi leaves everything behind as the Empire takes over, but perhaps she'll find a new everything in soft brown eyes and a solid heartbeat.
