This story is about a young girl named Azalea. All her life she has done things her own way, the way she's always wanted it. However, on the night of her 13th birthday, her whole life would be turned upside down.
A fire had started late at night in her family's home, the home she has always known - where she was born and grew in. The fire burned down everything, her father had just barely gotten her out of the house once it had started before he had gone back in to rescue his wife, her mother... they never made it out alive.
On the night of Azalea's 13th birthday, June 21st, 2012, she had become an orphan with no other living family.
Having had lived in France her whole life, she had never thought such a thing would happen. She grew up happy. with loving parents that did their all for her. They had run a flower shop until the end.
At 14 years of age, she had been shipped to America to live with a foster family - the Newman's. The couple was nice, Sharon and Michael, they did their best to teach her English as well as prepare her for American schools. The children of the family, Daniel and Alexander, were mischievous and caused her quite a bit of trouble. Bullying her at every turn. At 15. she requested going to an all girls boarding school to go away from them - St. Elizabeth's Preparatory School for Girls.
