Luna Enwright has spent most of her life shying away from people and social situations. Call her socially awkward, however her voluntary isolation takes its roots in a secret that makes social anxiety just a convenient pretence. To her, a simple hug or hand shake feels like her last breath. She soon discovered that these uncanny visions were those of her encounters' deaths. Hence, when she keeps noticing the interest a misty stranger has taken to her, she blames it on her mind and its tricks. Yet, one morning, as he introduces himself as 'Edmond De Revel', a neurobiologist coincidentally working at the same Parisian university as her, she is forced to admit to herself that the stranger was indeed a real person. Unfortunately, that isn't her only realization. What kind of ending did fate reserve this odd man? That was the issue, for the first time, Luna simply couldn't tell. vampire/shifter story Enjoy! ;) ✨2nd place in the General Fiction category of the Lily Awards 2022 ✨ ✨3rd place in the Rose Gold Awards 2022 ✨ /!\ Warning: violence, blood, self-harm and suicide /!\ please don't read if sensitive

"She carries the moon in her blood-and wolves are starting to remember." She thought she was just a girl with a strange birthmark and a healer's touch. But beneath her skin, something ancient stirs. Layla has lived her life on the fringes of a world divided between shifters and humans-neither prey nor predator, neither pack nor rogue. Her only family is a lioness of a best friend and a body that heals wounds with a whisper. But when a wounded wolf collapses at her feet with gold eyes and a voice that says, "I thought I'd never find you," the quiet unraveling of her truth begins. As moonlight reveals marks no one can explain and instincts begin to whisper in forgotten tongues, Layla is pulled into a world she was never meant to touch. Or maybe... one she was always meant to rule. Because some gods are not reborn. Some are simply returned.
