The FA-King assigns Julien van Gogh's artwork, such as his 1888 "Case with Fifteen Sunflowers," which is worth $81 million. His 1889 "Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear," that is valued at $71.5 million with his 1889 "Irises," being worth $53.9 million. And his 1890 "Portrait of Dr. Gachet," which is worth $82.5 million.
Using his Leonardo earpiece, Julien hears, "Vincent van Gogh was having mystic delusions after receiving a letter from his brother, Theo, who financed Vincent and Paul Gauguin's artistic endeavors. Theo had just gotten engaged, possibly resulting in a significant decrease of available funds as Vincent's landlord of the yellow house was actively trying to evict him, claiming that he should be hospitalized and reside in the asylum. Unhappy with his present situation, Paul Gauguin had announced his plans to vacate the yellow house in Aries, having Vincent van Gogh feeling extremely betrayed calling Gauguin names such as the 'black lion' and 'serpent.'
"All those factors enraged Vincent van Gogh to the point where he used a straight razor to cut off his entire left ear sans his left earlobe. After removing his left ear, van Gogh walked down the street to a local brothel seeking Rachel. A 15-year-old brothel maid named Gaby receives his left ear without its earlobe.
"A long-time earlier, Vincent headed to Southern France to work as an artist, where he met Gaby while she was in Paris being treated for rabies by Dr. Louis Pasteur. Gaby, who lives in Aries, France, discussed her life in Aries, which convinced van Gogh to move there instead of Southern France.
"When Vincent van Gogh handed Gaby his left ear, he paraphrased the Bible's 1 Corinthians 11:23 by saying, 'Rachel (Gaby's nickname) take this in remembrance of me.'"
