Wren goes to Kill Academy, or more commonly known as the Kids International Lethal League, or even more commonly know as the Academy of Lilkwood. The League is Wren's home and she is doing great. At 15, she's top of her class academically and physically. In math, she's already started Advanced Calculus, with the rest of her class, and in Advanced Knife Throwing Techniques, her average is a solid 9.8.
This school isn't your average school, oh no-no-no. The Lethal League does the world favors by getting rid of the useless people doing things underground, quickly and quietly.
Wren's good at what she does, why shouldn't she? She was born for this. Her tasks are always fast and clean so when she's selected for this next one, it shouldn't be too different, right?
Betrayed by her own kind, a young teenage girl finds herself at one of the kings worse death camps where she will work until she dies. But she is determined to live. One day, she gets accused of attacking one of the soldiers there and is sent through a three day punishment. But the last punish is too painful for her to save herself. Soon she is escorted the the kings palace. As part of the Assassins League, others are very wary of her. She starts to gain hope that maybe she can find her freedom, but when she meets her former betrayer, everything goes down in flames. How will she find her way to freedom with the whole palace keeping an eye on her? How will she survive the consistent beatings? And how will she stop herself from falling in love?
