Princess Miriam has been ailed by a strange illness since she was little and it has followed her into adulthood. Leaving her to not only be left out of parties most days but fun in general. She finds ways to have fun anyways however. Her lady's in waiting sneaking her out one night to do just that.
Their night gets complicated when a forest guardian comes out of the forest and threatens the whole Kingdom for someone killing a troll in cold blood. Miriam is able to convince the guardian not to do anything but he says if it is to happen again, he will come back. Leading Miriam and her friends scrambling to figure out what to do. Another complication arises derailing their plans when another prince and princess from another Kingdom come to visit, and they to seem to have secrets of their own.
