I have been a mute for 6 years, 3 months, 22 days and around 3 hours. I only know that because that is how long it has been since my family left me.

Spencer Harris has been placed in a mental institution since about 3 months after her parents and her siblings died in a car accident. Which was 6 years, 3months, 22 days and 2 hours, and 50 minutes ago, or around then.

She has been counting down the days until she turned seventeen so that she can leave The institution an finally go to high school and live the life she has always wanted. Minus her family. 

All her life she has wanted one thing. To learn. to love. to try one thing, and if she fails to try again. Because she knows that is what life is about. 

However she never knew how fucked up her life could get in one day, one boy, one word.
