I let out a small laugh as nodded my head in confusion. "What do you mean? Of course you need me, I'm your mate." 

"No, I don't actually," He said as a fact. 

"I don't need you. You have nothing that will benefit me. I'm ashamed to say that I have someone like you as a mate."

It's such a simple word and yet it means so much. Having it can be the most amazing thing in the world.

But for others, it can mean carrying around the heavy burden of loving another.
