Peeta Mellark has been in love with the dark haired, grey eyes huntress from the Seem since he first laid eyes on her 11 years ago. He's watched her walk home everyday to a starving family that she alone provides for. He wishes he could help her, but he lives in the merchant part of District 12 and she is not someone to accept help from outsiders. When the horrid Reaping comes along, Peeta can do nothing to protect himself or the girl he loves from the dreaded Hunger Games. Follow Peeta as he makes his journey through the tormenting area and watch as he desperately fights to save the girl on fire. ( this is the first of my three Peeta Mellark POV books and all rights go to Suzanna Collins for the wonderful story originally told through Katniss Everdeen's eyes.)

28 parts Complete

Katniss is homeless. Ever since her family has died, she has struggled to find a job and a way to get money. She doesn't even have relatives. One of her family's old friends, Haymitch, also happens to be a principal at the public school in district twelve. He said he can enroll her for free. Katniss accepts. This way, she can get at least a meal a day, and learn some survival skills. She has never been good at making friends, so she just kind of puts her head down and doesn't talk to anyone. It's clear she's depressed. There's only one person that can cure her. It's one day that Peeta Mellark, the most popular guy at school decides to uncover the mystery named Katniss Everdeen, and changes her life forever.
