A group of six classmates are at break in school. A girl 'suddenly' gets sick. Turns out she had a dangerous zombie virus. The virus spreads quickly, turning more people into mindless, bloodthirsty creatures. After narrowly escaping the school, the group realizes the infection has spread beyond their school, threatening the entire world. Along the way, they find another survivor. Determined to understand what caused the outbreak, they return to the school to search for answers. Inside, they enter a classroom where they discover what caused this terrifying plague.

In a world where zombies have taken over, one man and his wife gather a crew of friends and family to fend off the zombies as they venture to the safety of a old abandoned prison. The zombies are smart and have other plans for the survivors leading them on a wild adventure all over the east coast of the United States
