Emporer Belos' plans had been foiled and his collapse also saw the end of the coven system. Magic was no longer regulated and once again any witch could practice any type of magic they chose. This would have been a perfect end for Luz Noceda, but there was one problem she forgot about. With the danger passed, and the portal Belos built captured, it was time for Luz to return home. She didn't want to return to her own world that saw her as a weirdo or a freak, but she needed to return to her Mother. So Luz reluctantly returned home, but swore to her friends and especially her girlfriend Amity that she would come back as soon as she could. Years later when Luz was finally out, she couldn't bear to look at her mother. She grabbed her things while she was at work, and ran back to the portal, leaving her mother for possibly forever.
