This my own original work inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Therefore you may dub this story as being "Lovecraftian" or even fanfiction.
~Story Summary~
This story details the cosmological horrifying events that a Judge by the name of Micheal Grund experiences after losing his eldest son to D-Day, WWII.
He returns to the California Coastal Island town that his son was born in, Moundwater Island.
From there the story delves into depths of astronomical cosmic horror as the cloudy-limbs above descend upon the town and bring about unknowing terror that our simple human minds cannot possibly fathom without a bit of madness breaking us into millions of existential pieces.

As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. Pushing off the sink in irritation, I turn to leave but he grabs my bare upper arm. My blood boils in annoyance while my skin tingles with excitement. He perks a brow, obviously sensing it. My eye twitches and wordlessly, I turn away once more but his grip on my arm returns, this time more gentle, as if pleading rather than restraining. "I only meant that this mission did not require you to accompany me as my OA in pretence. It's safer to stay with your younglings out of sight anytime the role is not needed," his voice softer. "You disappeared after you..." I pause and shake my head. I feel embarrassed to say it out loud to him. I feel embarrassed at how much it affected me.
