A frustrated voice would speak
"Sadly, as if in a twisted joke, fate would make it so that, in his defeat, the Shadow King would fall in a new dimension made in his image and aptly named Antiverse. It wasn't unlike the Dimensions of the other gods, with one key difference: It fed off the parts of the Multiverse, like a parasite corrupting at each bite, granting dark abilities to its meal. This way, the Shadow King grew stronger, awaiting the day for his revenge.
In retaliation, the other gods came up with a plan: They chose a human girl, and from that point forwards her destiny would change."

She didn't know what she was doing to me. Every time she held me against her chest, let me crawl under her shirt for warmth, or kissed the top of my head absentmindedly, something inside me burned. It was different from before. This... ache. This hunger. And last night-last night changed everything. Because I felt it. Every brush of my lips against her skin. The heat of her body. The way her breath hitched when I got too close. I almost lost control. Almost let her see me. She felt me too. Not just as her pet, not just as a cat. I know she did. The way she shivered under my touch, the way her breath hitched as if she knew something wasn't right, as if she sensed something more. But she doesn't know yet. Not who I am. Not what I am. Not what's coming.
