Perseus was the Firstborn of Kronos and Rhea. His powers were on par with that of an elder Titan so he was never eaten by Kronos. 
Once Perseus got to know that his father had eaten his younger brother Hades, he prepared for war with a forgotten foe of his father. He trained day and night till the day Zeus freed the rest of his siblings. Along with them, Perseus waged war on his father and bringing the age of Titans to an end.
But with his last breath, Kronos shows Perseus the future.
