I started writing this story when I was 18. Still have a long way to go for it to be finished.
Story of my life. By age 5, I wasn't doing well. It was either find me a treatment program to help me learn how to eat table foods or get me a feeding tube because my health was at risk. The only other option was the option that no parent would want ... I was only eating baby food vanilla pudding and only drinking milk and water for 6 months. I refused to eat table foods as a baby.
I not only talk about the traumatic events at age 5, but I take a deep dive into my entire childhood from start to finish, the typical parts of my childhood to the not so typical parts. I had sensory processing issues as a kid and mental health issues as a kid / teen and young adult. But anyone can overcome any obstacle if you set your mind to it, and find the right treatment. You have to know that there is hope.
Read this story to discover the hardships of my childhood and why food was and still is a struggle today. But also read this story if you are a parent looking for help for your children, read this story if you are a person looking for motivation to lead you on the path of success, read this story if you are looking for help with mental health, read this story if you are bored, read this story for literally any reason. And if you are looking for even a sliver of hope for your life, this story is for you. Even if you just feel a tiny bit of hope, that's all it takes to start, and eventually lead into the journey of ultimate hope and a life full of miracles.

Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. "Abort it." "Excuse me ?" "Abort that thing inside of you!" He shouts in my face. I put my hands on his chest, trying to put some space between us. The man didn't even budge. "I'm not aborting my baby!" I feel strong hands wrap around my throat, and the next thing I know, I'm being lifted off the floor, fighting for air. "Listen here, you bitch you will abort that child, and if you don't, I'll personally kill you both myself. I'm a man of my word. Do not test me." He spat dead calm. Elora finds herself in a sticky position when her brother was in a terrible car accident, leading to an expensive medical bill that neither of them could afford. Her parents died when she was young, leaving her brother as her sole guardian. The two had been incredibly close over the years, and she had to find a way to help him in his current position. She had no choice but to sleep with a man she knew nothing about for money to cover the hospital bill, but later found out she was pregnant. The worst-case scenario is that the father wants nothing to do with her and the unborn child. After three years of guilt, pain, and regret, the two cross paths once more, and Elora struggles to make the right decisions as he was determined to be in their little girl's life. I’m not a fighter in the traditional sense. I will suffer first, and sort out the pain later. But I don’t give up. I grew up in a bubble of privilege, while all I’ve ever wanted to do was live underground. Everything started early. The name-calling pushed me into becoming anti-social. I spoke exclusively to my worst best friend and the alternate persona in my head. I spent years like this, feeling completely alone. I convinced myself that I didn’t need other people. I would become smarter than them, reading and studying. I would find my own fun, watching late night TV and going to concerts. I wasn’t just sad. I was depressed. And the reason seemed insignificant. It all started over the loss of some playground boyfriend. I tried to be anorexic, but instead I wound up eating more. I wanted to stay asleep and avoid the tragedy that replayed in my head everyday. I was sick of the world I was in. I wanted to commit suicide. One day I heard a song on the radio that introduced me to a new genre of music. It was an electric shock to my system, and suddenly I had a reason to go on living. I discovered that melancholy was perfectly normal. I understood that I had the power to change things, and navigate my own future. Appetizer is a memoir of extreme social anxiety. It is approximately 350 pages (78,700 words). I have also written an extensive outline, detailing each chapter. Appetizer chronicles the anguish that many have experienced growing up, while emphasizing the importance of never giving up hope. The story offers solutions in not being able to relate to your peers, or anybody else for that matter. By reading Appetizer, I hope to help people feel less alone, and gain a more empathic understanding of humanity as a whole.Concluida
WIshing Away Curve Balls
God only knows that we all have struggles. I battle a severe case of PTSD with dis-associative properties... Depression... I also fight various hallucinations that - I am sure if I give in- could be considered a form of schizophrenia. . We all reach a point of Rock bottom . We shatter, fall apart. My pieces are many, explicit at times, but it will begin to show you a day in my mind. I love the beginnings of stories. Whether it be a book or a movie, I enjoy the opening scenes the most. Because they hold all the promises of what is to come; unburdened by commitment or baggage. Beginnings are full of hope. This story is an exception. Because the beginning of it is a sad one. It's the ending, however, that makes this story worthwhile.
