In a district marked by rigid governance, life thrives under the shadow of strict adherence to the laws enforced by Leader Kim, a figure who flourishes amid the despair of those he rules over. The most tragic among these areas is the West District, a place ravaged by the greed and corruption of the privileged upper class, leaving the marginalized to suffer the consequences.

Each year, this beleaguered district and many others are thrust into a harrowing event known as the "chase." The inhabitants, desperate for hope, participate in this dangerous undertaking with the dream of reaching a promised Utopia-an elusive paradise that remains just out of reach.

Among the competitors in this treacherous chase are seven men hailing from diverse backgrounds, each carrying the weight of their unique stories and struggles. As they prepare to embark on this daunting journey, they must confront not only the obstacles placed before them but also the dark realities of a society steeped in oppression and deprivation. Will they find a way to transcend their grim realities and grasp the chance for Utopia that lies ahead?
