Sayuri Hikari was the mother figure to her junior high volleyball team and continued that mantle into high school, even though their team has been apart for three years. But she just doesn't show that motherly instinct to just her team but to a rather quiet and gentle, weak-willed fellow student Asahi Azumane. With his older appearance, Sayuri sees a gentle soul that just needs a little motherly love, even if she may take it a little too far at times.

She'll will support him anyway possible until he's back to who he once was before the painful defeat against Date Tech High, and along the way will reunite with some old friends and meet some challenges of her own. She believes in him, but does he believe in her?
