The one day that Percy has to come home early from Goode High School, a variant of the Black Death has been spread. If you contract it, you're brain shuts down and you have one goal. To kill. Percy nearly escapes with his life, and goes on the run without knowing what happened to his friends at school, or Sally Jackson. Meanwhile, Annabeth took charge of Goode after all of the teachers got infected.
