Johnny Cade and his kid sister, Livi Cade, found it challenging growing up with their abusive parents. 

Johnny has always daydreamed of running away from Tulsa to live in a place like Virginia. 

A place without worrying about their parents.

 A place with no Greasers or Socs. 

A place without getting into fights wherever you go, and being able to walk alone. 

But saying isn't doing. 

Until finally, Johnny and Livi's parents had completely lost it one night, and Johnny got tired of it. 

That same night, Johnny returns late with train tickets poking out of his jean jackets pocket.
