There are many tales on the supernatural, such as werewolves, vampires, and witches. Everyone has a story to tell about them, how evil they are, how cruel they can be, even dangerous. Some of the stories hold true, but for the werewolves they always seem to get one thing wrong, how they mate. The beautiful gift the Luna goddess had bestowed among the children of the moon. When a wolf turns 18 it is their destiny to find their soulmate to spend forever with. Not only that, they can only hear each other's thoughts.

This story is about a girl named Shawney, the betas strong warrior daughter, who swore to protect her tribe from rogues and enemies from danger after losing her mother. The day she turned 18 her mate was bestowed upon her quickly, but he doesn't want her to find out who he is just yet, scared of how she might react. Shes ready to accept her role in her packs place, but why hasn't her mate accepted her yet?

Karuk never wanted a mate after losing his mother to rogues a few years back, he watched how his father mourned the loss of his Luna, and he realized he never wanted to face that pain. Being the alpha to be he knew it would be difficult to avoid finding his mate, but he never knew how quickly it would be thrown at him a few months after turning 18. He heard her thoughts and by goddess she sounded beautiful, but he kept his distance from her until he couldnt avoid her any longer.

Now both had to work out their personal beliefs and differences before it's too late for them and their tribe as a dark force rebels against them. Will they succumb to their destined tied hearts? Or will they fall to each other's pain as their world falls around them with everyone they love as well.
