All the Infinite universes that there are all have the same ending doomed to befall them, as per the world prophecy. They all came from nothing and they shall all return to nothing. But does the world really have to end?
Paige wakes up one night and starts running not from anywhere and not to anywhere, in doing so she has answered the whispering voices that will lead her on her journey. She is against a ticking clock so it will not be easy, especially since it is humans who have set it off to begin with. The people Paige recruits with this task, the task of fighting human nature itself, are from varied worlds but they are forced to co-operate despite the differences that mark them as unique.
