What do you do when one of your nephews and your only niece are born with different powers of winter? Simple! Lock them in a room and teach them that they have to keep everything a secret, keeping them away from both each other and their twin brothers by keeping one from the world and having the other raised by trolls!

Hubert, Cheyenne, Dewford, and Lewellyn "Louie" Duck are quadruplets. Hubert and Cheyenne hold a shared gift: the blessing of winter. Hubert with the ability to control the snow, and Cheyenne with the ability to control the ice. Their younger twins, Dewford and Louie, were born without powers. Despite this, the four were united.
Not until...
A blow of ice to the middle sib's head caused him to be affected greatly, both personality-wise and physically.
The best way to fix this, the clan decided, was to isolate them. Louie would be sent to the trolls -- recently taken under rule by Goldie O'Gilt, rival and past lover to King Scrooge -- while Donald would visit him regularly. Dewford, later naming himself as Dewey, would be free to roam about the castle and do as he pleased with his uncles. As long as he stayed far away from the last hallway of the East Wing.
That is where the final two resided for so very long. Dewey knew of their existences, but was unable to socialize with either. He still did occasionally; or, tried to. Hubert, Dewey naming him as Huey as they grew older, was somewhat more open to seeing him than their sister, Cheyenne (he'd started calling her Chewy).
Now, with King Scrooge and Prince Donald both having been gone from the kingdom for a great time, the time has come for the throne to be passed to the eldest heir, Huey.
It is the first time the three have been together in a room since that fateful night.
And it may be the last summer anyone in Duckburg lives to see ever again.
