Abel Taylor is in one of the most popular groups at school. He's smart, never getting below a 90% on anything, and captain of the soccer team. None of Abel's friends fully understood or "got" him. Well, all except one. Christopher Edouard, a student who had moved to the district 3 years ago, was Abel's closest friend. He was co-captain of the soccer team and was also extremely smart. The only difference was Chris didn't like the popular crowd and instead became close with the "quiet" kids. He enjoyed writing and saw it as his main passion as well. Although he couldn't fully escape the popularity that knocked on his door. Girls and boys alike were all OVER him due to his thick French accent (and of course, it wouldn't be the US without people losing their brains over an accent). Both boys were extremely close and helped each other through everything. Relationship drama, homework, or just the anxiety and over thinking that most teens gain through the years.
Eventually everything would change for these friends. It wasn't growing apart or having one major fight, but it was the feelings one possessed for the other that caused a rip, ending their friendship. Many attempts to rekindle their friendship were always shut down and suppressed. But as time went on it would become more difficult for the two of them to stay apart.

Whispered Secrets is meant to explore an abundance of different feelings and emotions as two people go through the course of a friendship, hatred, and then a romance. Whispered Secrets attempts to break the stereotype of who can be what in a relationship, and break the typical stereotypes of mlm couples. Not all mlm couples consist of two gay men and that isn't always shown in depictions of lgbtqia+ stories. Whispered Secrets tries to delve more into the disruption of a friendship when two people are trying to figure out their feelings, and just overall feelings that most teens today struggle with in our society.
