A wallet, a thief, and a brilliant plan--what could possibly go wrong?

At least that's what Stella thinks--until she and Pin Pin get caught
with the goods, that is, and all heaven, hell and whatever's-in-between
breaks loose, forcing the best friends to hit the road.

Tag along as Stella and Pin Pin runaway to midtown Manhattan, all
the while battling archrival Teresa Como for the title to SOHO's Annual
Food Drive, their ticket to Regis Academy--a posh high school for girls,
hidden far, far away in the Catskills. Oh-la-la, for the chance to
leave home--for good!

Problem is... the road isn't much safer than home, especially when
the runaways attract the attention of police, museum officials
and--worst of all--Stella's unforgiving father.

Also pitted against their extravagant dream is the threat of Pin and
her family's deportation, including baby sister, Audrey, who lies at
the heart of this quirky coming-of-age novel--STELLA BELLAROSA: Tales
of an Aspiring Teenage Superhero, a serious MG with a funny-bone.

The only thing that interests him anymore is starting trouble. If he’s doing what he’s supposed to, he’s not doing what he wants. Terribly reckless, Jacen only feels alive when he’s about to die. No matter their identical zip codes, the two live in totally different worlds, and probably would’ve never met if not for Jacen’s infatuation with chicken nuggets. As soon as he walks into McDonalds that first day, Nikki knows there’s more to this boy than designer clothes and a pretty face. She’s drawn to him, but she denies it, no matter how many times he orders a happy meal from her. After all, the last thing she has time for is an obsession. But how can you deny fate when it won’t leave you the hell alone? After the teen idol sacrifices himself to save her, Nikki realizes there’s much more to Jacen than meets the eye. Quickly, the two are snatched up in a passionate, whirlwind romance. But Jacen’s dark, terrible past and Nikki’s ugly business aren’t the only things standing in the lovers' way. Does the young star have a darker side than even Nikki realizes, or are the strange gifts he's been receiving a sign that he's just another victim?

On a summer trip to Barcelona, two children-Matt and Elena-meet by chance in a McDonald's, under the glow of a midnight moon. Both are bored, their parents still in line ordering food, when their eyes meet across the crowded restaurant. Without speaking, they start to play, laughing and running around the tables as if they'd known each other forever. Their connection is instant, pure, and magical, as only childhood friendships can be. By the time the clock strikes midnight, the two have become inseparable. As it turns out, their families are staying at the same hotel and taking the same sightseeing tours for the next two weeks. This leads to a string of shared adventures-exploring the streets of Barcelona, eating ice cream in the park, and getting lost in the city's magic. Every day brings a new memory, every night a promise of tomorrow. But all good things must end, and as the trip comes to a close, so too must their time together. Matt is returning to London, and Elena is flying back to the Philippines. As they say their tearful goodbyes, they make a solemn promise: when they are adults, they will meet again in the same McDonald's in Barcelona. That night, before leaving, Elena leans in and whispers, "Give me a kiss, so you won't forget me." Over the years, Matt and Elena keep in touch through letters, sharing stories of their lives. But one day, Elena's letters stop coming. Matt writes, and waits, but hears nothing. Years pass, but he never forgets her, or their promise. The story is about time, distance, and the enduring power of a childhood promise. As Matt grows older, his life moves on, but the memory of Elena, the girl from McDonald's under the Barcelona moon, remains vivid. The story ends with him preparing to return to Barcelona as an adult, hoping to see her again, wondering if Elena has kept the promise they made so long ago. Will they meet again, and if they do, how much will have changed? (Story inspired by Crash Adams song Give Me A Kiss)

Caroline is 16 when she suddenly decides that her perfectly normal and loving home life is absolutely and completely intolerable. Suddenly moving out of home in 1988 is the beginning of a 13 year journey. As the journey continues, the passage of time has no significance. Always with the ability to find the humorous side, each address marks another chapter in Caroline's life and is the backdrop for the people she meets and the events that occur. Accommodation varies from unheated rooms and houses with wheel-less cars jacked-up outside to Regency flats and rural cottages. Transportation means vary from a single use bicycle, to Betsa and the faithful Dwanetta. Flatmates vary from a lovely Brummie and a singing nun to a dying dog, a ginger laminator, a 3 nippled geek and an accidental spell with a local drugs baron. Events vary from harbouring boarding schoolgirls, exercising racehorses, the occasional rave, trading in shampoo and marmite on toast to looking for stolen laundry, going undercover and self-defence with a hockey stick. Jobs vary from not having one to shop work, bartending and au pair through to getting a toe on the corporate ladder. There is infatuation, and love from various sources so there is also disappointment, and breakups by varying means and for various reasons. Education varies from a bit of formal study to a large dollop of the University of Life. The latter being the real reason Caroline left home in the first place - to grow up in her own way through her own experiences with no-one else to blame but herself and the interesting hand that life deals along the way. Caroline moves home 19 times, only to find that the 20th move takes her to the last place she ever expected to be. Back where she started. Things aren't always as they seem...
